Strawberry Pineapple Margarita

blended, served on the rocks

This recipe had to be tested extensively.  Over and over.  I’m just telling you this so you understand how hard we are working here to make sure we deliver tasty recipes.  A lot of strawberries and tequila were sacrificed to make this recipe perfect.  I love margaritas, but I’m not a big fan of blended ones, so I made this one on the rocks.  I just blended everything well and poured over crushed ice.  Over and over again, for the recipe testing.

A little bird told me that some “tequila” brands are actually grain alcohol that is flavored with tequila flavoring.  I have no idea if this is actually true, since flavor additive labeling leaves a lot to be desired, but I have noticed that many good tequilas say “100% agave” and some do not…which makes me suspicious.  So I buy the 100% agave.  Also, organic strawberries.
